WHY I WRITE
7:58 PM
I write because the feeling of creating something out of nothing is incomparable and magical.
I write because it’s a hobby, it provides a sense of security and accomplishment to an ordinary day.
I write because through all the trials and hardships in the game of life, it’s a way to express the feelings and release negativity.
I write because even though I am an earthly nobody compared to God himself, writing makes me feel like a somebody.
I write because a self proclaimed, God given talent and ability like this, I feel, should not go to waste.
I write because words were there for me when no one else was, they wrapped me in and held me close.
I write because the scars and brokenness have molded me into a human I never thought could exist, and I am grateful.
I write because I simply cannot stop the words from flowing out of my fingertips as a stream flows over the ground. The stream of words is forever in me.
I write in the hope of someone finding what they needed to hear the most, what everyone is afraid to write turns out to be exactly what people need.
I write because of the memories that live on in my brain long after the moment’s gone, to capture and remember it.
I write because it is my intention to astonish you all.
I write because I am me.
I am handcrafted in the image of God, and that is a fact that shall never change. He crafted me so carefully with this ability to put the words down on paper in such an intricate way that only He could put in a human. We cannot do it ourselves. He gave this talent to me to use for His glory, and that is my intention.
That’s why I write.
